Genome wide association study of response to interval and continuous exercise training: the Predict-HIIT study

چکیده

Abstract Background Low cardiorespiratory fitness (V?O 2peak ) is highly associated with chronic disease and mortality from all causes. Whilst exercise training recommended in health guidelines to improve V?O , there considerable inter-individual variability the response same dose of exercise. Understanding how genetic factors contribute may personalisation programs. The aim this study was identify variants that are magnitude 2 peak following training. Methods Participant change objectively measured 18 different interventions obtained a multi-centre (Predict-HIIT). A genome-wide association completed (n = 507), polygenic predictor score (PPS) developed using alleles single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) significantly ( P < 1 × 10 –5 response. Findings were tested an independent validation 39) compared previous research. Results No at significance level found after adjusting for key covariates (baseline individual study, principal components which trait). Quantile–Quantile plot indicates minor inflation study. Twelve novel loci showed trend reached suggestive ). strongest near membrane guanylate kinase, WW PDZ domain containing MAGI2 gene (rs6959961, 2.61 –7 PPS created 12 lead SNPs unable predict tenfold cross validation, or > 0.1). Significant correlations beta coefficients Predict-HIIT –4 –6 ), indicating general effects exist, higher statistical power, more significant associations become apparent. Conclusions Ongoing research current findings needed determine if genetics does play large role variance, whether genomic predictors trainability can inform evidence-based clinical practice. a frame semantic approach to the study of translating cultural scripts in salingers franny and zooey

the frame semantic theory is a nascent approach in the area of translation studies which goes beyond the linguistic barriers and helps us to incorporate cognitive and cultural factors to the study of translation. based on rojos analytical model (2002b), which centered in the frames or knowledge structures activated in the text, the present research explores the various translation problems that...

contribution of setting to the study of characters and the main idea in e. brontes: wuthering heights and t. hardys: return of the native.

this thesis aims to adduce an unmitigated and comprehensive explication concerning the relationship of three significant elements of fiction: setting, chracter and theme. my research is basically placed on two outstanding novels of the 19th century: emily brontes wuthering heights and thomas hardys return of the native. my endeavour lies in studying the correlation among the three above-mention...

Genome-Wide Association Study of Piglet Uniformity and Farrowing Interval

Piglet uniformity (PU) and farrowing interval (FI) are important reproductive traits related to production and economic profits in the pig industry. However, the genetic architecture of the longitudinal trends of reproductive traits still remains elusive. Herein, we performed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) to detect potential genetic variation and candidate genes underlying the phenotyp...

wuthering heights and the concept of marality/a sociological study of the novel

to discuss my point, i have collected quite a number of articles, anthologies, and books about "wuthering heights" applying various ideas and theories to this fantastic story. hence, i have come to believe that gadamer and jauss are rightful when they claim that "the individaul human mind is the center and origin of all meaning," 3 that reading literature is a reader-oriented activity, that it ...
